I do genealogical and historical research. I help those who are searching for those missing ancestors. I also do historical research for people who are interested in the area that their ancestors lived in. Qualifications: My name is Richelle Buckles though I am called Ricki by friends and family. I am a professional researcher and historical writer. I began doing research over 20 years ago. In that length of time I learned how to search, research, and find the patience to keep researching. It is something that I love to do and have found a great deal of personal satisfaction in doing. I lived in the upper White River area above Meeker, Colorado for thirty years. My husband of 32 years was born in that area and we raised two sons there. Recently my husband and I moved to the Grand Junction, Colorado area. Ricki Buckles In the course of these many years I have helped many friends and family members research ancestors they were looking for. At this web sight, wish to help those who are seeking to find out something about their ancestors. I want to help those who are interested make a connection, with those missing family links, they have wanted to learn about. That is why I like to call it "reaching across time" to try to understand more about ourselves and where we came from. Who were they, what did they do, where did they live, are all questions that can be answered. I have access to census records, (except the 1890 census which was destroyed in the USA), land records, birth, marriage, and death records, as well as some legal documents. If your ancestors were on a document and it has been recorded then they should be able to be found. It is to be understood by every client however, that there are just some ancestors who can not be traced. I myself have found that in my own family history. Still I keep looking though as should you, as new records are out there all of the time. Published work: I have also research, written, and published two historical books in the past four years on the area where I used to live. The first one is "A History of Buford, Colorado" and the second is "A History of the Upper White River, Colorado" Finding out about the area, the people who lived there and helped to make it what it is today, was something that was a great learning experience. I will have these two books for sale here on my web sight for those who are interested in them. For those who are interested these books are available also on this web sight and more information about them. For those who would like to have a bit of history researched to help them, this service is also available. Expectations: I will provide as much evidence and proof that the ancestor they are searching for is theirs. If further information is needed, recommendations to each client for further research and what methods can be used to obtain it. I will deliver all documentation to each client that is obtained and provide copies of documentation on information that has been difficult to read. If requested, I will proved each client with a family group sheet. I will inform any client the additional cost of obtaining any certificates such as: birth, marriage, or death.
